The Woodland tents are tucked in our magical little woodland, a haven for Butterflies and Dragonflies, Little Owls and Woodpeckers. All of our tents make the most of the space and wild setting of Elmley and are positioned well-apart so every guest has privacy along with plenty of space.
The simplicity of traditional canvas combined with thoughtful and stylish touches. Come, unwind, sleep in comfort and wake up to wilderness. Tents are suitable for families or friends & couples, or come on your own for a peaceful and rejuvenative break.
The Woodland Bell Tents are suitable for families of 4, with children under 12.

Outside the Tent
Along with your private fire pit, you'll have two Adirondack chairs along with a bistro set, so you enjoy the incredible surroundings. We also have the addition of a hammock or tree swing at the Woodland Tents. See your way after dark following our glowing festoons and solar powered lights.
Beds
The proper double bed and comfy mattress will be made up with a cosy duvet, pillows and soft fresh linen. Towels are provided. You'll also have a wool blanket and hand knitted hot water bottles from Romney Marsh Wools, but may want to bring extra for those chillier nights. For children, a fold out camp bed or futon with bedding and linen will be provided.
Food & Drink
Sustainably sourced, and super tasty relaxed meals are available from Kingshill Barn & Farmyard to take back to your tent or enjoy under the twinkling lights. We also offer all day snacks, ice cream and a full bar with a refreshing range of Kentish drinks.
Breakfast can also be delivered to your tent for a relaxed morning.
Your Tent
Thick canvas traditional bell tents, with a thick coir matting floor. A roomy 5m diameter, with space to stand, but are still cosy for chillier evenings. Store your belongings in your tent's vintage trunk.
Tea & Coffee
No need to get out of bed, we do a breakfast delivery service, just call from your tent and have your morning cuppa dropped off. The Barn is open all day for teas and proper coffees, and near the tents we have our awesome camp kitchen for making your own. Fresh milk will be given to you upon check-in.
Cooking
You have your very own private fire pit with a grill for BBQs. Or use the nearby camp kitchen where you will find everything you need for a camping feast. You'll have your own cool box and ice bricks.
Bathroom
There are plenty of facilities around the site (with more new for 2022), including hot camping showers, only a short walk away. Beautiful products are provided along with towels.
What to do
In the Summer, we open up Elmley' s secret BEACH...then shake the sand out and explore the miles of nature trails watching hares, butterflies and birds galore. For families we run fun activities, from pond dipping to bird spotting. Nature tours and wellness treatments are also available to truly immerse yourself in Elmley
