Each of our lovely 4m bell tents can sleep from 1 to 4 people.   The tents are made of thick cotton canvas to traditional design and are very spacious – you can comfortably stand up to change. The Bell Tent Village also has dedicated loos (for 10+ tents), shower with an amazing view and a communal kitchen for a recovery breakfast.

You can choose either a standard bell tent or upgrade your tent with furnishing and bedding.  The tent will be pitched overlooking the reserve ready for your arrival.

The Furnished Bell Tent includes a comfortable double air bed for two (we tried a few to get the most comfy!), a vintage LED hanging lantern, coat hangers, bunting, and a floor rug.  To upgrade to this option please select the Furnished extra at a cost of £15.

You can also choose to have your tent made up for you with a double 12 tog duvet, two pillows and soft linen at a cost of £20 per bed.

Staying on the Nature Reserve

Staying in the middle of a National Nature Reserve is a very special experience, and Elmley is the only National Nature Reserve in the UK that you can spend the night on.  We do ask you to remember this and use your common sense during your stay: please stay on footpaths and within the allocated glamping area, drive carefully on your way to the farm, and clear up your litter.  Guests are asked to abide by a Code of Conduct during their stay and your booking will be taken as understanding and acceptance of this. Please also note that as we are open to the public there will be other visitors on the Reserve during the wedding weekend.

Arrival

Guests staying on the day of the wedding may arrive at 11am to give you time to polish your dancing shoes before the wedding starts.

Guests staying the night before the wedding can check-in from 3pm.

On arrival, you will be met in the farm yard and shown to your tent and the site facilities by one of our team. If your late just head straight to the barn and call us during the reception (there will be plenty of time to check in after the important bit!). For some events there will be a quieter camping area for families and those who don’t want to stay up so late.  Tents are allocated prior to arrival.

In case you need to contact anyone please call Georgina on 07582414585.

Facilities

Just a short walk from the Bell Tent Village will be a toilets (for 10+tents) and a hot shower.  Alternatively guests can use the event toilets which are only 200m from the bell tents.  The facilities will be inspected and maintained prior to the event and maintained prior to the event. After this point please respect your fellow guests and keep the facilities clean and tidy.  Please note that as we are off-mains electricity, our power supply is limited – please arrive with your hair done!  There are power points within the venue which, with the agreement of the wedding couple, may be used for phone charging.

Check Out

We ask that guests have left the bell tent village by 10.30am on the day after the wedding.  As you are staying in a Nature Reserve we ask you to respect the environment and leave the glamping site clean and tidy.

Please feel free to stay on the Reserve and blow the cobwebs away with a good walk.  Further details are here.

Essential Items

We highly recommend you bring a torch for late night trips to the loo, and lots of cosy layers for when the sun goes down!  If bringing bedding or sleeping bags from home please make sure you bring enough to keep warm!  A thick duvet is provided with the bedding option but an extra blanket and cosy pjs might not go amiss for those chillier evenings.
